Over July 4th weekend we hung out at home and worked on some projects. On Saturday, Neal pressure washed the patio table and chairs that Sarah and Gi had left us before they moved. They swore that when maintained, teak wood can look completely transformed and beautiful. We had no idea how right they were until Neal washed the wood and treated it with special teak oil.

On Sunday we stained the fence in our entire
back yard, a 6 and a half hour project in the
Texas heat and humidity. Ugh! We had fun
though, as we used a spray to apply the stain
and paint brushes to smooth it out. I swear I
could hear Mr. Miagi's voice from Karate Kid
saying, "UP, DOWN!"

This picture doesn't truly do it justice but the
stain made a huge difference in the look of our yard.
What a nice improvement!
